AOAP International Women's Day Auction

Art On A Postcard have invited seven female curators, including Beth Greenacre, Louise Fitzjohn (Liminal Gallery), Bakul Patki, Lee Sharrock, Mollie Barnes (She Curates) Sandra De Giorgi and Carrie Scott to each curate a show comprising of 20/25 female artists.

Each show will run as seven concurrent auctions, all raising money to support The Hepatitis C Trust’s work with women affected by the criminal justice system both in prison and local communities.

Mollie Barnes

Mollie Barnes (she/they) is a South-East based Independent Curator, whose exhibition-making, programming and research lives at the intersection of contemporary art, queer and feminist histories. She is dedicated to championing artists across all sectors. She is the Festival Manager and Artist Liaison for Tom of Finland Festival UK. Mollie has also been a Mentor with ilikenetworking since 2020. Mollie has leveraged her passion for access for artists through working with institutions to produce revolutionary artist residency programmes.

Louise Fitzjohn

Louise Fitzjohn is a Margate-based Curator and Founder of Liminal Gallery, which specialises in the representation of contemporary artists working across the UK and Ireland. With artists at it’s core, Liminal nurtures and encourages artistic talent and provides an exciting programme of specially curated exhibitions.

Lee Sharrock

Lee Sharrock is a curator, creative publicist and writer based in London. Recent curatorial projects include the ‘Arms Around the Child’ charity art auction at Christie’s, Yurim Gough’s solo exhibition ‘VainEgo’ at APT Gallery and ‘Rebirth’ at 99 Projects. Before setting up Lee Sharrock PR & Curation in 2016 years ago, Lee began her career at Sotheby’s, and worked at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), M&C Saatchi, Timothy Taylor Gallery and Saatchi & Saatchi. Lee writes for publications including; Artlyst, Artplugged, Creative Review, FAD Magazine, F22 and STATE Magazine.

Bakul Patki

Bakul Patki is a freelance curator and creative producer specialising in fine art, photography, design and architecture - often collaborating with practitioners from theatre, dance, music, film, and the rapidly evolving tech disciplines.

Carrie Scott

American/English art historian, curator Carrie Scott has worked internationally with a number of leading galleries, collectors and artists over the past 20 years. Since her first exhibition of note with Seattle’s James Harris Gallery – the first solo show of Rashid Johnson’s work outside of Chicago – she has launched her own art consultancy, gallery and curatorial endeavour. Operating outside of the traditional gallery model, it allows her to look after artists and collectors more unswervingly. Over the past 12 years, these artists have included Nick Knight, Bindi Vora, John Pawson, Marina Shacola, Harold Feinstein, Kim McCarty and Ben Hassett to name but a few.

Beth Greenacre

With over 20 years experience in the art market, Beth Greenacre is an experienced and trusted curator, advisor and consultant working with private and corporate collectors, commercial and non-for-profit organisations. Beth offers a full range of advice and support in navigating the art market and the contemporary art world, specialising in International Modern, Post-War and Contemporary art she has worked with collectors across the globe.
