50 x £50, 2024

Following the success of the last three auctions (2020, 2021 & 2022), and driven by extremely popular demand, we are proud to present 50 x £50, 2024.

The auction comes from a burning desire to open up fine art collecting to more people, regardless of their background or their financial situation.

So once a year, we send a small canvas to our favourite artists and ask them to create a single painting that we can start the bidding for at a price far below their standard asking price.

These low starting prices help open up the ‘art owning experience’ to more people by enabling a larger, more diverse audience to enjoy bidding and buying in an auction.

Next Steps

Deadline to enter: 27 November 

• Leave a comment or your favourite emoji on the Open Call IG post here 
• We will review all artist and get in touch with those selected
• The final line up will be announced on the TAC Instagram account on 4 December  

Selected artists

• We will ask for your address and send you the canvas in December
• You turn it into beautiful artwork
• You share with us content about you and the artwork (e.g. work in progress shots) for us to start promoting across our socials. 

Artwork deadline: 31 January 

• You send us an image of the finished work and let us know its medium and title.
• We upload it to our auction and prep for marketing 

Live for Bidding: February

• The Timed Auction goes live for bidding
• We promote it to our brilliant collectors (we already have 177 people registered to bid…)
• You send the winning bidder the artwork 
• We transfer you funds from the sale of your work

Auction Fees

We don’t see this as a money making opportunity, but rather a marketing moment for you and a feel good factor for us. We genuinely want to help more people start collecting high quality art. 

Fees & Costs

• To support the marketing, we take 20% (incl. VAT) of each sale. That's it.
• There are no extra listing or unsold fees. The only cost you will have to cover is shipping the artwork to the final bidder.
