Flow
Bronze Sculpture 2021
Signed and numbered on the base of the ribbon
60 x 20 x 45cm
My objective in creating Flow was to capture the moment when the dancer is at full stretch, the muscles show the most tension or a leap is at the highest point. The split second before the body relaxes into a softer, more static shape. I aim to create as much fluidity as possible and the ribbon helps to enhance the movement and guide the eye around the body.
Edition of 12. Edition number - not known
Please note that the sculpture will be cast to order if won, with a cast time of 8-12 weeks.

Notes
Human anatomy holds a fascination for me, and I’ve always loved life drawing, so being able to blend the two in sculpting is the perfect creative combination.
I relish the challenge of taking a static, solid medium and giving it personality, movement and a weightlessness that belies the true character of its natural state.
