Ed Hall (b. 1944) is a British artist known for his textile and hand-painted banners for union and campaign marches and is considered Britain’s leading banner maker. They have been previously exhibited at the People’s History Museum, Manchester, Tate Britain, The Victoria & Albert Museum and include collaborations since the 1990’s with Turner-prize winner, Jeremy Deller. He has contributed banners to front large marches for Stop The War, Trade Unions, The Palestine Solidarity Campaign, CND, the Anti Nazi League and Unite against Facism.
