Notes
This work is inspired by the swathes of Nasturtiums found by the side of the road in Bermuda, the artists' birthplace. "I am always taken with the beautiful leaves and pops of colour by their flowers."
The artist’s morning routine in Bermuda starts with a run to the beach, passing these gorgeous plants. This is a little meditation on an often-overlooked beautiful staple of the Bermudian environment.
Born and raised on the British Island of Bermuda, Catherine says, "My work is inspired by memory, proportions and colours from vistas in the natural and built environment. It is my hope that the abstracted forms invite the viewer to complete the image themselves and are intended as cues to evoke memories."
