Esme Dollow's contemporary still life painting explores ideas of nostalgia and the everyday, focusing on the visual qualities of familiar or desirable objects. By portraying these often solitary items with open or ambiguous backgrounds, she aims to displace them from their usual contexts to produce an intimate and emotive representation.
