Notes
An ethereal image of wild flowers in Skane, South Sweden, by the fine art photographer Ruvan Wijesooriya.
Ruvan's work is influenced by a nomadic upbringing; his parents were Sri Lankan immigrants who joined the US Foreign Service in Sweden. Stockholm left a particularly strong mark on Ruvan and this image will be published in Ruvan’s forthcoming book, “Greetings From Sweden” (Mondial Verlag).
The nomadic nature of his youth, led Ruvan to document his involvement in New York's downtown scene. Here he developed his skills in analogue photography, a technique he continues to work with to create a timelessness quality in his images.
Another of Ruvan's photographs included in The Spring Auction can be seen here.
