24 carat gold leaf traces the rivers, canals and lakes throughout London in this work. 

Applied by hand, this work forms part of a series of creative projects by the Brighton-based artist, Will Atkins, that play with the visual traits and associations of gold. 

With a background in architectural design, this aerial view appears as a plan for an elaborate reworking of London's waterways.
