Kate Mary explores and responds to our built environment; and through her fascination with line, colour, texture and patterns, she seeks to create otherworldly scenes which capture moments of intrigue from everyday life. Often combining memories of architectural details with botanical elements, Kate seeks to create vibrant versions of the world we live in. This body of work is a celebration two parts colliding; nature meeting architecture, light meeting shadow and the linear meeting the irregular.

Kate Mary is a Glasgow based artist and designer whose practice primarily involves drawing, painting and printmaking. She completed her honours degree in Interior Design at Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 2019.
