Studio Sale | Alex McIntyre

Created as part of a series of paintings in spring 2020, this was Alex's response to the uncertainty of the first lockdowns in the UK. In this third painting, the land is beginning to return (in painting two it is obliterated all together). There is a sense of a returning to a new normal, an adjustment and a refocusing on what is important. During this time, Alex spent a lot of time cycling, exploring the countryside near her home and returning to the studio enriched with visual and sensorial treasure.
