Notes
Low Tide is a from a series of three images that document the interactions, or lack thereof, of passing strangers at Watergate Bay in Cornwall.
Perched on top of the surrounding cliffs, Amelia Lancaster the award-winning photographer and Manchester Alumni, sat and waited for walkers on the beach to inadvertently step into the perfect composition for her photographs. Capturing that split second of movement and distance between the figures, Amelia’s photography appears as a beautifully choreographed dystopian scene on the beach below.
Amelia Lancaster is the winner of the Be Smart About Art Competition (through The National Open Art Exhibition) and her photography has been widely exhibited including in Fresh Perspectives: New Photography at Saatchi Art and Grey Score at The Courtauld. It has also been published in ICON Magazine, The Times, The Architects Journal and even on the front cover of Pil Magazine.
