Notes

"With my pen and ink work I always look to explore how to draw new textures. With my drawing of the fish I wanted to push my artistic abilities to see if I could, with just a biro, create a sense of shininess for the fish scales.

The crab with a tag saying 'lunch' was an exploration of how we – as carnivores – see the world around us. On the one hand, it is a beautiful living creature, a crab, on the other, it is just be a meal, something to be consumed, to be eaten for lunch."

Anastasia is a New York-based artist.
