Notes

These works were made in direct response to the feelings of isolation and loneliness encountered during the pandemic. The name 'W' is taken from a Perec novel 'W Or The Memory Of Childhood' and relates to the 'double u' pronunciation in French. These pieces and drawings were made in order for Edie to find peace and companionship through the hugging folds of clay.

Edie is a sculptor from South London who grew up in the Lake District. Her work seeks an audience and speaks through a realm of material understanding that embodies past, present and future relations with the self within a society.
