Notes

Tim Noble was born in Stroud, England, in 1966 and did an art foundation course at Cheltenham Art College (1985-6). He received a BA in Fine Art from Nottingham Trent University in 1989; and an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art, London, in 1994. During his time in Nottingham, he met Sue Webster, with whom he has worked since 1994. From 1989 to 1992, Noble and Webster took up residency at Dean Clough, Halifax, West Yorkshire. Their solo exhibitions have included PS1/MoMA, New York, 2003 and Modern Art is Dead, Modern Art, London, 2004.

Tilt has all the components of fragility, life forces teetering on the ledge, overlooking the great expanse, the void of destruction.
