Life on Venus II | The Human, Timed Auction

Maya Strauss currently lives in Alphabet City in Manhattan. Strauss creates paintings and sculptures based on images from her memory; an object, a face, a surface, a place. Strauss’ paintings are not narrative but they are in form more like poetry. Strauss has been included in several art exhibitions including: three exhibitions at Studio e Gallery in Seattle, two exhibitions at Warbling Collective in London, and "International Space Station" at MoMa PS1. Strauss has attended multiple residencies including the Vermont Studio Center and, as part of an ongoing collaborative project with Julia Rooney, at The Meeting House in Troy, New York.
