Hackney based artist Eleanor Meredith, created and photographed this group of ceramic sculptures for the cover artwork of Anna Meredith's 2019 Fibs album.

The ceramics were made at Pheonix pottery in London, then photographed and art directed with Martina Lang to create
the cover and sleeve artwork.

The sculptures were later used in an augmented reality app for the album's second single Moonmoons. The app allowed viewers to digitally place the ceramic objects in their own homes. Each of the objects then controlled different aspects of the song allowing you to manipulate and change how you experience the track.

The musician wanted the objects and the entire album to create its own world for the listener and viewer, wherever they are. In her words:

“I think there’s a sense of wanting to make its own world, of wanting to make the world the album, which even to me goes through to the artwork, which is recognisable but also a wee bit off-kilter. The shapes are recognisable but the detail is not quite what you expect. It’s sort of got its own parameters. It looks like a landscape that is self-governed."

Anna Meredith was recognised as one of today's leading composers and performers of electronic and acoustic music with an MBE in the 2019 honours list.

Eleanor Meredith teaches BA Illustration at Norwich University of Arts, and runs workshops at The BFI Animation Academy, The Apple store, V & A Museum, Ravensbourne College and the National Portrait Gallery.
