Ken Hom is opening the doors for six guests at his home in Catus. He promises an exquisite six-course banquet with matching wines. Celebrity chef, author and TV personality, Ken Hom is acknowledged as one of the world’s leading experts on authentic Chinese and Asian cuisine and in 2009 was awarded an honorary OBE for ‘services to culinary arts’.
Ken has published more than 80 books and cooked personally for presidents, prime ministers, celebrities and royalty. Born in Tucson, Arizona, where his Cantonese parents lived after emigrating to America in the late 1940s, Ken was raised by his mother in Chicago, Illinois. His introduction to, and love of cooking, began at the age of 11 when Ken worked in his uncle’s Chinese restaurant; he then went on to study in California until he was discovered by the BBC in 1982 and filmed his first BBC TV series in 1984 – the rest, as they say, is history! The small print: to be taken on a date that is mutually agreeable.
