Notes
A limited-release single vineyard vintage with brooding blackberry, satsuma, plum, mulberry and red currant notes. A transcendent 14.5% abv, 100% shiraz wine from the most iconic vineyard in Australia.
Named after the neighbouring Lutheran church and made from organic and biodynamically grown grapes hand-picked from ancient, pre-phylloxera 150-year-old vines. The intensity of fruit is matchless. Traditional fermentation followed by 18 months maturation in both French and American oak barrels. Opulent fruit with fine-grained tannins. The black pepper of the Shiraz shines through with an elegant layer of five spice and crushed herbs. A wine that sings of history and the magnificence of where it comes from. Drinks beautifully now but will keep for the next 20 years.
