From A Safe Distance
19 MAY 2021 - 09 JUNE 2021Notes
“The work is titled after the techno track Meet Her At The Love Parade from 1997. During lockdown I became obsessed with videos of people dancing in their own living rooms to the same tracks. The track from 1997 was one of the first that kickstarted the social media dancing in isolation trend.”- Ludovica Gioscia, 2021
Ludovica Gioscia, born in Rome in 1977, works and lives in London. Strongly process-based, Gioscia's practice reads like a diary of layered experiences and relations. Often employing unusual materials, such as cat hair, emotions and energy, the artists' studio functions as the catalyst for non-linearecological experiments.
