Notes

My cartoon themed paintings are a celebration of nostalgia and joy. Drawing inspiration from classic cartoons, Street art and Graffiti. I aim to capture the whimsy and fun that is sometimes neglected in our busy lives. By creating pieces that evoke a sense of childhood wonder and happiness, I hope to transport viewers back to a simpler time, and remind them of the power of imagination and creativity. The characters in my work are oftentimes portrayed as curious, overly expressive, and sometimes broken.

Although these characters are meant to portray joy, I want them to be relatable, and these blemishes give the otherwise clean looking characters a human touch. I paint to tell stories, with each of the characters in my works centred around a theme. Usually the theme is expressed in a humorous way, even if the theme is more sombre in tone. Ultimately my goal is to  remind people of the joys of their past youth, by creating original paintings that balance both nostalgia with modern sensibilities.
