Elements is a series of unique sculptures celebrating simple geometric forms fused with organic textures and materials. Each sculpture is unique made from copper and found driftwood from my local shores in East Kent.
Anja Hessler is a German-British artist and designer currently based in Ramsgate, UK. She creates one-of-a-kind contemporary mobile sculptures and objects from metal, acrylic and wood.
Minimalism and Design as Art plays a dominant role in her artistic practice, drawing inspiration from the Modernism movement and in particular the Bauhaus aesthetic and its focus on minimalist design and craftsmanship. Her work explores the theme of opposites, celebrating the preciseness of geometric forms fused with organic textures and materials.
Her work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions and art fairs in the UK and across Europe and is held in several private collections in the UK, Europe and US.
She has been named by Saatchi Art as 1 of 23 artists to collect in 2023.
