Bio
Vicente Grondona (1977, Buenos Aires, Argentina)
Vicente Grondona was born on January 4, 1977, in the city of Buenos Aires. He lives and works in Buenos Aires and studied at the Prilidiano Pueyrredón School of Fine Arts. Grondona reflects the importance and protagonism of materials in his work, constantly engaging with their nature. He takes ownership of them, considering them as expressive material, subject, or motif. His paintings and sculptures share a common link with nature as both a medium and mediator of the message. The recurrent use of raw materials such as charcoal disrupts the tension between the classic and the contemporary. Grondona projects his work, landscapes, his universe, reflecting his ideas with great intensity. Some of his exhibitions include 'Cavernous Man' (MNBA, 2014); 'Meeting Man' (ArteBA, 2014); 'Stupor Mundi' (Slyzmud Gallery, 2013); Agatha Atelier (Agatha Costure, 2013); 'Nervous Landscape' (Alberto Sendrós Gallery, 2012)
