Notes

Ed Kluz is a British artist based in the South West of England. His work focusses on perceptions of the past through the reimagining of historic landscapes, buildings and objects. These concerns are explored through the media of painting, drawing, printmaking, sound, performance and site-specific installation.

The visual language of his work is underpinned by neo-antiquarianism and a curiosity for the obscure. He draws inspiration from 17th, 18th and 19th-century topographical and architectural representation, early photography, film and theatre.

Between 1999 and 2002 he studied Fine Art at the Winchester School of Art. His work is held in a number of public collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum and York City Art Gallery.
