About
Winner of the 2003 Turner prize, Grayson Perry is one of Britain's best-known contemporary artists. He works with traditional media; ceramics, cast iron, bronze, printmaking and tapestry and has exhibited nationally and internationally. Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, “Grayson’s Art Club” on Channel 4 aired from his studio. The art created during lockdown by members of the public - as well as Grayson and Philippa Perry - was exhibited in museums around the country. He also completed 23-date, UK stage tour, “Grayson Perry: A Show for Normal People”. Grayson was elected a Royal Academician in 2012, awarded a CBE in 2013, a knighthood in 2022 and in 2015 was appointed Trustee of the British Museum and Chancellor of the University of the Arts, London.
