14 SEPTEMBER 2023 - 03 OCTOBER 2023Notes
About
Welsh-born Elinor Evans lives and work in Spain within the Gredos National Park countryside, where she lives among her animals, and breeds Spanish horses which play an important role in her art practice. Her Dalmatian dog, Picasso is her greatest muse and long-time companion. She is the director of The Shaman Project, an ongoing project founded in 2006 which involves art, performances with animals and live music. It celebrates the fusion of the art world and the natural world. She believes we have a natural affinity to animals and explores those relationships within her art using the animal masks to cover up the human faces.
