About
Helen Stotesworthy is a figurative artist living and working in London, UK. After graduating with a degree in Fine Art Painting, she moved into a career working for several renowned galleries and artists in London. She has recently returned to the studio, with her newest work focusing on strength and vulnerability through an evolving method of drawing, collage, and oil painting. Drawing on the turbulence of subconscious bias and modern motherhood, she uses photographic collage as the starting point to dissect figures. The modifications and reworkings from collage through drawing and painting unravel the relationship between the physical and psychological self. Her works are held in private collections in the UK, USA and Sweden.
