Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork

In recent years, my work has been based on wondering about the environment and organisms as seen for the first time, without a human perspective. I imagine something arriving to Earth and studying the environment and organisms with great interest. Human does not stand out from the rest of nature, but appears only as one of the other organisms.

In my artistic expression, I give clues with figurative elements that I break down as unrecognizable. I work mainly with paintings, but I also do works on paper. I might draw the same drawing dozens of times before I’m happy with the end result. In the "Introduced Species" series, I’ve drawn parts of the human body and insects.
