About
Ariadna Dane is a British Russian multidisciplinary artist living and working in London.
Having grown up in Siberia and travelled extensively, the artist discovered a connection to nature which became a source of inspiration for her evolving art practice.
Dane uses ink, mixed media, collage and cutouts to produce contemporary pieces that capture organic forms and textures. She is currently exploring how some of these traditional mediums can be used in combination with technology.
This year, the artist’s augmented reality work was exhibited in Art in the Age of Now, a group exhibition described as “unmissable” by Forbes.
Education
Mainly self-taught, Ariadna Dane undertook courses in creative development and contemporary collage in Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.

Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
Inspired by flowers, the artist used washes of India ink to create monochrome compositions evoking the senses of tranquility and connection. The cutouts made alongside the ink elements, both echo and contrast them, calling for a moment of quiet reflection.
Note: to enhance the cutouts / shadow effect when framing, the artworks should be shadow mounted onto 10mm foam board.
