Art on a Postcard Winter Auction, Lots 101-200
04 NOVEMBER 2021 - 25 NOVEMBER 2021Notes
About
I am a painter based in Manchester, UK, where I also work as an art psychotherapist with teenagers. My work is concerned with the ways in which Faery Stories and folk tales, the ways in which stories are told and retold, and how this re-telling alters and embellishes the original. I often work from a pre existing image, with the subject operating within a shallow, claustrophobic space on the picture plane. I am interested in the theatrical elements of painting, and how painterly marks may become objects in and of themselves.
