I am a full-time professional artist and have been for nearly forty years. I specialise in portraiture but have recently started focusing on my own work too.

Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork  

This piece is representative of my recent works which have focussed on my own emotions. My children are now maturing and left home and I am now joint carer of my mother who has Alzheimer’s. Experiencing my mother turn from adult to child has been difficult. I felt like my footing was gone, like falling in your sleep. My recent works have tried to describe this feeling of disorientation.
