About
Super Future Kid, born in East Germany in 1981, spent her formative years in the wake of the Berlin Wall's fall, initially oblivious to the western world. The profound cultural impact of this event left an indelible mark, shaping her affinity for vibrant colors and a playful aesthetic.
While employing bold shapes and colors, the “Human” Figure is the main subject in her work. By using the figure as a personal avatar, she explores a range of ideas that all circulate around questioning one's identity and what it means to be human, thus providing a platform which is emotionally engaging and which gives the observer an opportunity to discover an alternate reality of themselves.
She attended the Chelsea College of Art and Design and the Academy of Art Berlin Weissensee. Since her graduation in 2008, she has shown her work in several group and solo exhibitions nationally and internationally including London, New York, Berlin, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Bangkok, Seoul and Miami.

Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
My current works are considering the impermanence of our human existence. Through some personal experiences I am becoming more and more aware of the temporary nature of our own body. We often forget how fragile the body actually is and rather look at it as some sort of durable structure, almost like a house, a space which we inhabit throughout our lifetime. With this in mind, the new works including this piece, are intended as a reminder that even if our body were a construction or a house built out of stone, over time it can and will still crack, break and eventually crumble.
You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any works. In doing so, you endanger our relationships with artists, and directly jeopardise the charitable work we do.
