Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
This work is part of my current project ’Memory-image, soft face’. I use portraiture to explore memory-image — a physiological carrier that transforms pure memory into actual perception. When I am alone, I sometimes think about the faces that were once well-remembered. I tried hard to dig them out of my memory shade, but what only can I find are some lines, shapes, blurred colours and a smell of once-existed moments. I use those materials to create paintings, to preserve those treasured moments that no longer will appear again.
