Art Makes Lives Better

Illustrator and printmaker Robert Tavener (1920-2004), was born in London. After serving in WWII, he attended Hornsey College of Art. He was head of Printmaking at Eastbourne College of Art and Design and also taught at St. Martins School of Art. In his lifetime, he was best known for his illustration work which was commissioned by organisations including Shell, the BBC, and London Transport.
