Art for Ukraine
01 APRIL 2022 - 25 APRIL 2022Notes
Cecilia Fiona's mythical worlds, all painted with rabbit-skin glue and pigments, are populated by biomorphic creatures, somewhere halfway between human and animal, between the living and the dead. Blending myths and folklore from different regions and historical periods, Fiona builds her own surreal worlds where the boundaries between dream and reality, fantasy and truth, are fluid and in constant transformation.
Cecilia Fiona (b. 1997) is a visual artist based in Copenhagen. She is represented by Andersen’s Contemporary (CPH). Fiona holds a BA in History of Art from the University of Copenhagen (2021). Fiona's first gallery solo show will open at Annka Kultys Gallery in London on April 21. Select group exhibitions include: Vitrine Gallery, Basel, Switzerland; Annka Kultys Gallery, London, UK; Galleri Kant, Copenhagen, Denmark; Reventlow-Museet, Lolland, Denmark; Bricks Gallery, Copenhagen, Denmark; OTP Gallery, Copenhagen, Denmark.
