Art for Ukraine
01 APRIL 2022 - 25 APRIL 2022Notes
Using art as a form of self-expression, Olga pays special attention to maintaining spontaneity in her practice. Her signature dark backgrounds possess a striking level of depth and function as the ideal backdrop for her intuitive layering of colour and texture onto the surface of the canvas. Her abstract, expressionist brushwork creates the illusion of motion within the image. A fleshy, biomorphic shape emerges from the work's surface, the unique texture of oil paints acting not only as a metaphor but also as a physical release for repressed emotions.
