About the artwork
Anya Kashina’s monotypes are gestural explorations of natural phenomena. Referencing landscapes and moments from personal experience, the works are windows onto wild gardens; imagined spaces that evolve through working out the compositions intuitively. This work is from a series of monotypes made in 2023 that also relates to Anya’s wider painting practice.
