6-Month Internship
Job Description
We are looking for an intern to join our team for a 6-month fixed term, based in the UK with a flexible hybrid working arrangement. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our innovative start-up company transforming the auction industry.
We are a rapidly growing auction platform with bold ambitions to enable anyone in the world to run their own professional auction.
Our clients range from global luxury brands to independent sellers running commercial and fundraising auctions in the art, luxury, wine, sport, music and film industries. Read our full story.
Through our in-person and online auction services, we’ve helped clients sell everything from miniature artwork and charity experiences, to multi-million dollar watches, F1 cars and even George Michael’s piano.
Inclusive, friendly and hardworking, we react quickly to our clients’ needs with innovative ways of working and new auction technology. Now, after four consecutive years of doubling the auctions we support, we have launched our new software platform for users to run auctions from their own websites: Indy.auction. We aim to make running professional and high-quality auctions available to everyone - think the auction version of Shopify.
We are beyond excited about this catalytic moment for the business and the opportunity for you to join the team.
What You’ll Get out of the Role
You will be joining a fast-growing, energetic, and innovative tech company transforming the auction and e-commerce industries. Not only will you work alongside some of the world’s most exciting brands and people, but you’ll also be part of a team that values creativity, collaboration, and agility.
Although The Auction Collective has been around for nearly seven years, the launch of our software has sparked a fresh wave of start-up spirit. We operate as a fast-moving, collaborative team where flexibility and adaptability are key.
As an intern, you’ll dive into hands-on projects across various departments, often beyond the typical scope of your role, gaining exposure to multiple facets of our business and life in a startup. This means you’ll have the chance to learn and develop new skills, tackle unique challenges, and make a real impact. Our culture is dynamic and fluid; everyone pitches in, every idea counts, and each project is a shared success. If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and wants to be part of an inspiring journey, this is the place for you.
We are a hybrid-working team, based around the globe. There will be opportunities for both remote and in-person working and collaboration.
Career development
We are a team that values growth and support, and we’re committed to creating a positive, enriching experience for our colleagues. During your time with us, we will create a bespoke programme of work experience with opportunities to shadow our team members and take on work in areas you’re most passionate about.
We’re committed to providing an internship experience that goes beyond the traditional, tailoring it to support your unique career goals. We encourage you to share these goals with us during the interview process, so we can structure the experience to best support your growth and aspirations.
As we are a fast-growing team, there will be opportunities for full time employment.
