James Dearlove is a graduate of The Slade School of Art in London and now lives and works on the edge of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. He has exhibited at The Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy, The Discerning Eye Exhibition, The British Art Fair, The London Art Fair and numerous group shows. His pieces are held in private and public collections both in the UK and internationally. His most recent solo show called 'Tales of the City, Tales of the Sea' was in 2023 with BWG Gallery in Soho Square, London. He was awarded the Ingram Prize in 2021 and was selected for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries in 2023. 

Tulip Fever: Dying Trumpet is one of two painting by Dearlove offered in The Auction. His paintings present a twilit, chimerical realm in which he explores both the desire and disquietude of the human experience.
