About the Artist

Sharon is a resident artist at The Centre for Recent Drawing in London, UK. 

She is interested in how we make sense of a seemingly absurd and irrational existence and explore several ideas involved in this including: The poetic, which provides space for the ‘imperfect’ and for not making sense. The outsider, as a construct. And; in the repetition of marks which act as ‘mantras’ which hold the ‘magic’ that allow us momentarily to forget our viscerality (symbolised in the motif of the horse).
