About
Ivana de Vivanco is a visual artist working primarily with painting, installation and sculpture. Her surreal paintings are often created using classical painterly techniques and are assembled from various visuals.
Her work has been exhibited in several solo exhibitions, including Pink Maneuver, Josef Filipp Galerie, Leipzig, Germany (2021); Break a Leg!, Raum für drastische Maßnahmen, Berlin (2020); GOOD LOOK, Archiv Massiv, Spinnerei, Leipzig (2020); THE BIG NOSE: A Matter of Perspective or Perspective Matters, Weserhalle, Berlin (2019), Recomposición, Galería Isabel Hurley, Málaga (2015). Her work has also been exhibited in numerous group exhibitions including FEED, The RYDER Projects, Madrid (2020); SUPER!, Kunsthalle Darmstadt, Darmstadt, Germany (2020), Object is Meditation and Poetry, Grassimuseum, Leipzig (2015), Sub 30, Museum of Contemporary Art Santiago (2015), among others.
Education
She graduated from the University of Chile, Santiago with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2011, she also studied painting under Gonzalo Díaz Cuevas, University of Chile (2012); Oliver Kossack, Art Academy of Leipzig (2013) and Annette Schröter, Art Academy of Leipzig (2014–2016).
