Notes
About
My work is generally informed by a love of folklore, superstitions and old wives tales. I’m always interested in the history of a story or saying. I use acrylic on canvas, the pieces are stitched together a bit like a patchwork, pieces of stories, it works well visually for me and can be a playful process.
Education
Fine art degree at Bristol.
Select Exhibitions/Awards
The auction collectives top 100.
Gallery Representation
I’ve been working with partnership editions and Morgan’s gallery in Falmouth, but I have work with a few other galleries and mixed shows.
Statement about AOAP Submitted Artwork
The work I have submitted is acrylic on stitched paper, I would usually use canvas on a larger scale so translating that to paper at a much smaller size was fun. The mood and colour of the work is always reflected by the time of year so the pieces feel quiet and still with glimpses of the stillness of nature in winter time.
