About

Hannah Tilson (b.1995) lives and works in London. Tilson mixes her own paints using raw pigments and binder. A figure is encompassed in a fast moving ‘patternscape’- a landscape made of patterns. The figure disappears and reemerges, sometimes being completely swallowed up by the fabric, other times a hand or a shoe surfaces, pulling you closer to reality.

Education

BA, Slade School of Fine Art, London. The Drawing Year, Royal Drawing School, London. Exchange programme, New York Studio School, New York. Foundation, Central Saint Martins, London.
